Map lists[]

Map settings[]

These are map settings that can be altered to add extra challenge or help to maps:

  • Cheese thief: A mouse has stolen the cheese and you must catch them.
  • Bombs: Explosive bombs appear in the map.
  • Collision: Mice have a physical presence.
  • Conjuration: The shaman can draw a path.
  • Dodue: Mice can collect up to 3 cheese. For every cheese picked up, the mouse becomes heavier.
  • Exploding balls: Balls will explode after a few seconds (map 69).
  • Fall damage: Makes mice shock sensitive. Falling from heights, high restitution and enclosed spaces will kill the mice.
  • Gravity: Mice can jump higher or lower, depending on the gravity of the map.
  • Length and height: The map can scroll horizontally or vertically.
  • Night mode: Mice can only see a small area around them.
  • Portal: The shaman can use portals to teleport mice from one place to another.
  • Shaman cooperation: Two shamans cooperate to get mice to the hole.
  • Shaman fight: Two shamans compete to get the mice into the hole of their color.
  • Shaman items: The shaman has access to more or less items than normal.
  • Soulmate: You and another mouse are bound together with a string.
  • Transformation: Mice can turn into shaman objects.
  • Vampire: Some mice are vampires and you must run away from them to avoid becoming a vampire.
  • Wind: Mice and shaman objects are pushed left or right.

Ground types[]

Megaphone Main article: Ground
Map editor grounds

These are types of ground which can be used to build maps in Transformice:

  • Wood: Default friction and restitution.
  • Ice: Has no friction, can not restart mouse's jump when placed vertically.
  • Trampoline: Moderately strong restitution which makes it bouncy.
  • Lava: Very strong restitution, which sends you flying in the opposite direction in which you landed.
  • Chocolate: High friction, therefore is sticky, easy to wall jump, hard to walk with cheese.
  • Earth: Same friction and restitution as wood ground, but looks like soil.
  • Grass: Same as earth ground but has green grass on top of it.
  • Yellow grass: Same as earth ground but has yellow grass on top of it.
  • Pink grass: Same as earth ground but has pink grass on top of it.
  • Acid: Kills mice on collision.
  • Honey: Slightly lower friction and more restitution than wood. After touching it, mice are sticky (have friction) for 5 seconds (indicated by Honey icon).
  • Sand: Same restitution as wood ground, but its friction is slightly lower.
  • Cloud: Transparent ground, collide with dynamic objects on default.
  • Water: Mice without cheese are able to "dive" into the ground and surf on top of it, mice with cheese will sink to its bottom.
  • Stone: No restitution, friction is the same as wood ground.
  • Snow: It looks similar to earth ground, but has snow on top of it. Its friction and restitution are slightly lesser than earth ground.
  • Rectangle: Similar to wood ground, but its color can be changed.
  • Circle: Similar to rectangle, but round.
  • Web: A sticky ground that mice can "dive" into.

Keep in mind that the properties can be changed in the Map Editor. Grounds can be fixed or dynamic, disappear after a certain amount of time and change your mouse's friction (Honey icon indicates more friction, Ice icon indicates no friction).

History[]

Normal mode was the original game mode of Transformice and only played vanilla maps until the Map Editor was added on 22 August 2010 (V0.63) and player-made maps were created.
