Café is a recreation of the classic forum, added on 23 August 2014 (V1.183).
A lot of users like this more as it is in-game, easier and quicker, however it only displays a certain amount of recent topics, and once a topic is gone it cannot be retrieved. The café isn't moderated nearly as much as the forum, so quite a bit of it is filled with spammers and trolls. However, there are some people whose posts have quality.
Any form of violence against another person is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: insults, harrassement, racism, xenophobia, transphobia, and any form of attack towards another person or a group of people.
Any inappropriate content, including but not limited to: sexual talk, pornography or gore is stritcly prohibited and will lead to severe sanctions.
Any religious or political content is forbidden.

To add/change your café avatar (same as the avatar shown on your profile), you need to upload a new forum avatar.

On 10 August 2016, a new version of the Café was released.[1]
The Café background is lighter, and your unread messages appear in a darker blue for you to catch up the conversations you follow.
When a player answers in the discussion, the number of comments up and is highlighted, and their nickname is displayed in order to notify you. Also, when a comment reaches 5 dislikes, it is automatically deleted!
When a comment has at least 5 likes, it is underlined with a beautiful silver color. When it reaches 10 likes, it becomes golden, the text is bigger and the background is lighter! For each subject, a maximum of 5 golden messages will be kept in order to track back the best things that were said. A subject moves to the top every time a player likes it!

On 10 August 2016, the 30 second rule for posting changed, as if you try to post after your post, it's 5 minutes, however, if someone posts after you, its 10 seconds. The dislike system also changes as a post needs 6 dislikes, instead of 21 dislikes, to be deleted. However, during an unknown update, you need 10 dislikes to remove a topic.
As of 5 October 2016, the Café button was replaced by a new shop button, which is a red button with a white shirt.
From 17 September 2019, accounts with less than 400 cheese gathered cannot post on the Café.
From 19 March 2020 (V1.561), accounts with less than 1000 cheese gathered and 30 hours of playtime cannot post on the Café.

Something new is coming for the Café
Hey guys,
The Café has never been a real peace haven, but we know how bad it's getting lately, and we're taking action.
We will be soon implementing a new report system and various tools to make the Café a better place.

On 5 April 2020 (V1.564), a report system was added. These reports will show up to a few active mice who can decide whether or not these posts are indeed harmful. If the majority of people vote to remove a post, it will get deleted. Moderators are able to see all the reports on the Café and their vote goes over all other votes. When a player receives a ban, all of their messages will be deleted from the café. Café topics that don't receive a response in 48 hours will be automatically deleted.
On 7 October 2021 (V1.661) only, patch notes were posted on the café.
On 24 February 2022 (V1.688), messages from ignored players are no longer displayed in the café.
Trivia[]
Entering the /cafechat command causes café buttons to appear and bounce around the screen.
This command has no limit, and can be spammed infinitely to the point of covering every last pixel of your screen. You can click these café buttons off manually or refreshing/restarting your game can fix it instantly.
Each nickname is a random color that changes on the first day of the month.
You need to have over 1000 gathered cheese and 30 hours played to be able to post on café. The amount of gathered cheese needed used to be 400, changed on 19 March 2020 (V1.561).
In 2017, Melibellule said "the cafe closing rumors are actually hilarious to me, considered how much tig likes the cafe", "it's his creation, his masterpiece", "the ultimate trolling platform", "I have more mixed feelings mind you".[3] "Tig loves Cafe and it'll never get deleted as long as he lives".[4]
